Who be me? Lets see! My name is Greg. I was born on September 14, 1977, at a womens hospital in Tampa, FL. The hospital was not owned by a women persay, but it was a hospital for women.
I held my mom in labor for nearly twenty-four hours, before I decided to be birthed. MWHAA HAHAHA! They were on the way to perform a C-section when I was born, sometime around 3pm, I believe? As I was entering into the cold world outside the safety and warmth of my womb, the nurse assisting in the birth saw me coming out with a full head of hair and announced that I was a girl.
Well, as history would show, I was born a boy, and am pround to say that I still am! Amen and pass the cheeswhiz! The doctor re-assured the nurse that a full head of hair doesn’t mean that the child is going to be a girl. There are, shall we say, “other” ways of determining the sex of a child.
I live in this enchanted place known as Tallahassee, FL. Right now I am typing this line. I currently attend Florida State University where I am currently in my 9th year of my four year degree in English. (Insert Tommy Boy joke here: blah, blah, blah…yeah, they’re called doctors.) I work for the Florida Department of Health as a Regulatory Specialist II.
However, my true love lies in ministry. I work with the youth at my church, King’s Way Christian Church. I have known that I was going to “do” ministry ever since I was around eleven or twelve years of age; I have wanted to do nothing else. I have flirted with girls as well as becoming a cop, but I knew that at the end of the day I wouldn’t be happy…with becoming a cop. My place is in ministry.
I want nothing more then to be apart of peoples lives and help them grow in the Lord. There is NO better place to be. God is a God of forgivness and not condemnation. The blood that was shed on the cross by Jesus was for you and I. It will never be shed again…it doesn’t have to.
