Well, the boat is ready, we think. We changed the bearings on the right wheel again. We had to do that last year as well. There is something wrong with the right wheel, but it is fixed for now. All should be good with that situation.
I think that we are going to leave Tallahassee around 7:00 a.m. in hopes to get to Apalachicola around 9:00 a.m. I don’t know what the internet situation will be down there, but keep checking back for updates — if I can get them to you. I plan on taking a lot of pictures and video so make sure you at least check back late next week for a series of Fishing Tails.
Until then.

Finally, now that the semester is done I can read a book I actually care to read.

Breath in. Breath out.
Ahh, the semester is finally over. This past semester, my friends, should be my last Spring semester at FSU. What a relief. I plan on enjoying these next few days as I head into what will be a hectic Summer semester. My hope is to take four classes this summer which would leave only one left for the Fall. Then, oh yes, there will be the sweet, sweet sounds of some Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1!

Putting the final touches on my final exam. I am glad this is open book. There is no way I could have even thought about passing this test if it wasn’t.

I have heard of a fish’s air bladder becoming inflated before — but this is ridiculous!
(Disclaimer: I was sent this through my email, so I don’t know if the story is completely true.)
A guy who lives at Lake Conroe in Texas saw a ball bouncing around kind of strangely in the lake and went to investigate. I turned out to be a flathead catfish who had obviously tried to swallow a basketball which became stuck in its mouth. The fish was totally exhuasted from trying to dive, but unable to because the ball would always bring him back up to the surface. The guy tried numerous times to get the ball out, but was unsuccessful. He finally had his wife cut the ball in order to deflate it and release the hungry catfish. You probably wouldn’t have believed this if you hadn’t seen the following pictures.

My dad headed over to Destin, FL this weekend for a little fishing with some old work friends. They limited out on Red Snapper and the seas where so rough just about everyone on the boat got sick. Here is a picture of the catch.

Greg.
Well, this week is finals week. I actually only have one final. I have already taken a final for one of my classes this past week. I believe I did well. It was for my American Sign Language II (ASL II) class. My teacher went over the exam after week took it and I feel that I got most of the exam correct. Most of the questions from the exam where partial credit questions, so if I didn’t get the whole question correct I could still get partial credit for getting most of it right. I was a little nervous heading into the exam because I have a hard time with the fingerspelling. I don’t know if I will ever get the hang of it. My mind just doesn’t compute the formations fast enough.
Moving on.
Fishing Tails Volume 5 will be up sometime this week. I have a few final items to take care of this week with classes before I can spend time on the video. Also, I will be heading to Apalachicola, FL this weekend for the Ramer Men Fishing Trip. Stay tuned for another Fishing Tails to follow sometime following the weekend.
Until next time.
